The Great Wall of China

Originally built to fend off attackers from the north, the Great Wall of China is over 13 thousand miles long and has over 10 million visitors annually to see the historic wonder. The great thing about choosing the Wall of China is that you can turn your trip into an extended journey over a couple of days and really take in the beautiful scenery. Just don’t forget to buy a decent pair of hiking boots and most importantly, take your camera!

Climb Kilimanjaro

If you fancy a little bit more of a challenge, why not consider climbing the great Mt Kilimanjaro? With four different routes to the peak and incredible sights to see, it really is a challenge that will be worth your time. However, it’s important to remember that climbing a mountain is no easy feat, and you should always seek help from experienced tour companies such as Kandoo: the best choice for fantastic trekking adventures. It’s also a good idea to check out the best times of the year and month to climb this wonderous mountain, as the difference between having a full moon and not will make a huge impact on your journey.

See the Northern Lights

One of the most beautiful wonders of our planet is, of course, the Northern Lights. An array of mesmerising colours flow through the sky and can leave you in awe of it for hours on end. Many people choose to pick out a camping spot to see the Northern Lights, so why not grab yourself a tent, a huge bag of marshmallows, your nearest and dearest, and spend a few days underneath one of the most incredible and natural beauties that our world offers to us?

Visit Santa

Finally, we know that Christmas has just been and gone, but a trip to Lapland to see Santa is an adventure that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime. Imagine ploughing through the snow using huskies and a sledge, to arrive back at your log cabin to enjoy delicious hot chocolate. And of course, meeting Santa himself! Perfect for those who are travelling with their children or indeed, just a big kid at heart!
