The Great Wall of China
Originally built to fend off attackers from the north, the Great Wall of China is over 13 thousand miles long and has over 10 million visitors annually to see the historic wonder. The great thing about choosing the Wall of China is that you can turn your trip into an extended journey over a couple of days and really take in the beautiful scenery. Just don’t forget to buy a decent pair of hiking boots and most importantly, take your camera!
Climb Kilimanjaro
If you fancy a little bit more of a challenge, why not consider climbing the great Mt Kilimanjaro? With four different routes to the peak and incredible sights to see, it really is a challenge that will be worth your time. However, it’s important to remember that climbing a mountain is no easy feat, and you should always seek help from experienced tour companies such as Kandoo: the best choice for fantastic trekking adventures. It’s also a good idea to check out the best times of the year and month to climb this wonderous mountain, as the difference between having a full moon and not will make a huge impact on your journey.
See the Northern Lights
One of the most beautiful wonders of our planet is, of course, the Northern Lights. An array of mesmerising colours flow through the sky and can leave you in awe of it for hours on end. Many people choose to pick out a camping spot to see the Northern Lights, so why not grab yourself a tent, a huge bag of marshmallows, your nearest and dearest, and spend a few days underneath one of the most incredible and natural beauties that our world offers to us?
Visit Santa
Finally, we know that Christmas has just been and gone, but a trip to Lapland to see Santa is an adventure that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime. Imagine ploughing through the snow using huskies and a sledge, to arrive back at your log cabin to enjoy delicious hot chocolate. And of course, meeting Santa himself! Perfect for those who are travelling with their children or indeed, just a big kid at heart!

Yaaas! Climb Kilimajaro! I’ve been hiking at Kilimanjaro and as much as it was very tiring, it was such an experience1 I can’t wait to plan for another trip to Kilimajaro.
I would love to see all of these places, but definitely the northern lights! It just seems so surreal! I’m sure the Great Wall is quite breathtaking as well!

It really could be a long flight if you’re going there straight from where your at. But if you travel from one place to another making your way from your place exploring countries and cities along the way and gradually to China, I think that would be fun.
You haves suggested some great places to see. I would love to go on all the adventures someday, because they all are exciting and I have never gone to any of them.
To visit to even just one of them would already be wonderful.
All of these things are literally on my bucket list! The Northern Lights have always been a big must, though! Great list of places to see!
Yep the NOrthern Lights are certainly one great place to go, though totally a long way from where I’m at, it’d be a dream come true to see them.
I would take that walk along the Great Wall of China anytime. It is my fervent wish to go to Beijing. The farthest I have gone is only Shenzhen. Hope to visit this year. 🙂
Ha, I was so confused about the Visit Santa one. Didn’t know about Lapland. Will have to do more research on it.

I agree with these! I’d love to see the great wall as well as the northern lights – although it might have to be farther off in the future!
There is always time for everything and if it’s meant to be, no matter how farther off in the future that would be, it would certainly happen.

The great wall of China is a must, it always makes me think it’s like it doesn’t exist since I have only seen it only on tv or online. Hopefully one day.
It’s awesome!
You are absolutely right! It sometimes so difficult to pick a place, that you end up picking nowhere at all. I can’t wait to see the northern lights one day. It looks truly magical. The great wall of china is epic and it still blows me away how amazing it is to see up close.
The Great Wall is awesome, and to see the Northern Lights would be totally incredible.
