Yup, that is right, there’s nothing to freak out about.  You are only 40. It is a mere digit.  Besides, LIFE STARTS AT FORTY.  Think of it as another phase in your life.  In any role playing games (R.P.G), we call it level up.  At 40’s you have certainly leveled up.  You have gone through life’s ups and downs.  You have come out victorious from numerous predicaments life has plunged you into. You have gained wisdom from all of these experiences.  Wisdom which will guide you not to repeat whatever previous fiasco you had. Second in terms of materials things, you have worked hard enough to have gained financial independence.

So relax and chill out. Give yourself a break.

Here’s another one for you.

  1. Turning 40 wasn’t a major thing to me. I thought turning 30 was a major thing. I bought a t-shirt that said, “You know…being 30 is not that old.” Now that I’m over 40, it’s so not a problem. I’m thankful for each day. Just cruising back thru from http://makeitorfixit.com to check out what’s going on.

  2. I have a super friend na 41 na. I love her to death. She guides and advices me always but she is always COOL! It’s just a state of mind, we’re 12 yrs apart but we get along together.

  6. Yeah, age is just a set of digits. I remember my older sisters in our community talking about age. Some of them are in their 40’s and some in 50’s. They said that they still act and talk like they used to during their younger years. Only now, they think more matured and they just slightly aged in terms of look.

  7. I am 41 and was not enthused to turn 40 but you make some very good points. I could have used your post back then LOL. I’ve settled into to being in my 40s now. It really isn’t so bad.

  8. Yep, 41 here… (and pregnant to boot!!) ya, so I don’t feel too old, especially with a 4-year-old and a new one on the way. I love your positive post too, 40 is a good age, we still have lots of more crazy living to do!

  9. Loved the mug! I wish I had seen that mug back in Nov, when my husband turned 40. My sister will be turning 40 here in June, i am going to have to grab her one.
